Vintage British Transit Route Signs were hand screen printed on linen between the 1930’s – 1980’s. The pieces in our collection date to approximately 1950’s – 1960s And feature bus routes within London and throughout the UK. Signs are assembled onto wooden dowels painted matte black with a metal hanging bracket on top for easy hanging and preservation.
This sign originates from the UK and includes the following stops: Cheadle Heath / Birdhall Lane / Manchester / Piccadilly / Heaton Norris / Belmont Street / Brewers Green
Measurements in inches: 47.75" x 34.5"
Condition: All posters show some vintage wear typical of an industrial, utilitarian object 60-70 years old and are priced and sold accordingly, as-is. All sales are final on these one of a kind, authentic pieces of British history.
These were originally sourced and assembled on wooden dowels by Dwayne Lumpkin who worked with a second generation bus driving family in the UK.
